I want the world to be more free toward libertarian cause. It’s not principles that matter. It’s the result. We’re getting there (in asia) but not as fast as we would like. When one country is free, the other will follow. Otherwise most productive elements will just move toward more meritocratic countries. So we just push the envelope on each countries and eventually the whole world will be free.
Do something that works. Anything. If you think I am wrong, come up with better alternatives. Ayn Rand propose that all CEOs strike. We don’t have to. We can always move to China or other places. Also tax rate is already very low for CEOs anyway. Corporation actually pay negative taxes due to subsidy. Perhaps it’s just reality that life is a game and it’s karma that people that are too stupid to embrace libertarianism just get screwed all the time. We can try to enlightened them but if they refuse, we play the same game.
Rather than bitching on what’s not working, let’s see what’s working and expand on that. What we have now is great already.
If you insist that 0 government is right and in fact government is 60% because Ron Paul don’t win, that’s bad. If you do some trade off and you see, you can bring that down to 10% it’s fine. Perhaps some money is indeed required to maintain government and keep the population from voting otherwise.
Let’s ask another question. Should we let prisoners starve? Most libertarians think that prisoners need to be fed but welfare parasite doesn’t? No wonder those welfare recipients want to be criminals so they go to jail and get free food and free health care. Even Milton Friedman, one of the most libertarian economics, believe in negative income tax mechanism. It’s the dividend for everyone for voting right.
As long as those welfare parasites don’t reproduce expenses will go down anyway. Let’s face it. We already got more prosperous (in asia thanks to western civilization).
Disparity of income is like a spring. Too high and the poor will revolt. Too low and the best and brightest won’t work or bribe officials. Just learn the factor and max out something. GDP or something. Just something, if possible peacefully.
I think I also made clear that when I want to legalize prostitution and consensual women trafficking what I really want to promote is privatization of marriage. Total privatization of marriage would necessarily imply legalization of prostitution. Otherwise people will simply declare their 1 hour love session marriage (syiah muslims are doing it by the way) and government will counter that by saying it isn’t.
At the end government decide what marriage means again and that means marriage is not truly privatized. Legalization of prostitution is more important than privatization of marriage. It close the loop hole where government can still creep in into our private life.
When the chineses do businesses, they make sure every body get paid. Ideal? No. But well, it’s the grease that loosen the machine. You put so much oil on gas, might as well turn small amount into grease. In fact, as a Chinese, I sort of think that as ideal. Everybody happy, I get richer, they prayed for me, and who knows somewhere down the road I need them. Who care?
